Protecting air from pollutants is the apple of the people responsible for quality of the environment extending around the smokestack of Rzeszow CPP. So far the CPP has executed many projects in order to limit the influence of the CPP on air:- burning the coal of higher quality parameters , i.e. of higher calorific value, in boilers, and of lesser content of sulphur and ash, resulting in reduction of the amount of burned coal per one unit of generated energy, causing lesser emission of pollutants into the air and limiting the amount of generated wastes, - mounting a flue gas analyser on WR-120 boilers, used for monitoring and optimising the combustion process, and for constant controlling of pollutants emission from boilers, which results in lower fuel consumption, - installation of a computer system for controlling the operation of boilers, balancing the production and heat sales, - installation of a computer system for monitoring and optimising the operation of electrolytes, - performing general overhauls and the installation of de-dusting devices in order to enhance the operation of boilers and the effectiveness of de-dusting electrolytes and multicyclones which are installed on flue gas passes of boilers.
- mounting the SETNOx instalation on WP-120 heater, which limits emission of nitric oxides into the air. The above actions influence effectively the systematic reduction of emission of pollutants into the air: Other actions which aim at lowering the influence of the CPP on the environment: Maintaining green belt in the immediate protective zone off the furnace wastes accumulation place. |
