GSU-100 functions as a basic generation unit of the Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP). In summertime it covers completely the consumers’ requirement for warm service water, generating the additional amount of electric energy at the same time. To fully cover the city’s warmth requirement during a heating season, basic unit of the plant is supported by boilers WR-25 and WP-120, which function as peak load generation units. All electric energy generated by basic unit of the plant is received by Polish Electroenergetic Networks within the framework of a long-term contract, which is being fulfilled at the moment. |
